1. About these terms
These terms govern all installation work carried out by Loft Kings ("we", "us"). By accepting a written quotation, you agree to these terms.
2. Quotations
All quotations are issued in writing following an in-loft survey. Quotations are valid for 60 days. We do not provide binding quotes by phone or without a survey.
3. Bookings & deposits
Work is scheduled on receipt of a 20% booking deposit. Deposits secure your install date and cover initial materials. Outstanding balance is payable within 7 days of completion.
4. Cancellations
You may cancel within 14 days of accepting a quote for a full refund of any deposit (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013). After 14 days, deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred to a new install date once.
5. Access & site conditions
You agree to provide safe, clear access to the loft hatch on the install date. Pre-existing structural issues, asbestos, or hidden defects discovered during work may affect price and timeline — we will always discuss these with you before continuing.
6. Workmanship guarantee
All installations are covered by a 10-year written workmanship guarantee. The guarantee covers defects arising from our installation. It does not cover damage from misuse, overloading beyond rated capacity, water ingress from roof failures, or third-party alterations.
7. Liability & insurance
We hold £2 million Public Liability insurance. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the value of the work invoiced. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
8. Materials & manufacturer warranties
Materials we install (boarding, insulation, ladders, vents) carry their own manufacturer warranties, typically 10–25 years. We will provide warranty documentation on completion.
9. Disputes
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our work, contact us first at info@loftkings.co.uk. We aim to resolve all complaints within 14 days. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
